The passengers who were planning to fly from Indore to Shirdi have not been able to do so as the operations continue to be affected for the sixth consecutive day. The reason for the same is the bad weather conditions in Shirdi.

Indigo has a direct flight on this route but the operations of 6E-7227 and 6E-7177 have been impacted due to the weather conditions for the last six days. Due to poor visibility, the airline had to cancel the flight operations but they have offered passenger alternatives and even refund.

The flight in question, takes off from Shirdi at 09:40 am and takes a little over an hour to reach Indore at 10:55 am. While the return flight takes off from Indore at 11:00 AM.

However, this was not the only flight from Indore that was affected on Monday (November 18) as the Air India flight that was Mumbai bound too was delayed. Air India flight AI-635, which was scheduled to reach Indore from Mumbai at 8:25 AM was delayed by one hour and 38 minutes.

While the flight services to the holy shrine remained affected but it did not stop the helicopter transport services Fly Blade to start its Mumbai to Pune helicopter service. The journey via the helicopter takes only 35 minutes but the same via road takes about four to six hours.

Fly Blade had last December announced its plans to enter the Indian market. For the same, it has joined hands with the equity investment firm Hunch Ventures.
