Infinity Harbor Services has been given a deadline to operate electric water taxis in Mumbai from December 2023. However, the company on Tuesday, November 21, announced the fare details for e-water taxis.

Sohail Kazani, managing partner of Infinity Harbor Services, said that clearances have been received for Gateway of India to Belapur, Domestic Cruise Terminal (DCT) to Belapur-Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and DCT to Mandwa routes. Awaiting clearance for Gateway of India, Mandwa, Elephanta.

The fee will be charged in three phases. The fixed daily travel schedule will initially be INR 100-150 per seat, the hourly fare will be INR 4,000 and the fixed port tour schedule will be INR 300 per seat.

Owing to its passengers appeal of officegoers, who are also daily commuters, Kazani stressed that this fare rates is applicable for Gateway of India to Belapur and DCT to Belapur and other routes.

The service provider is currently engaged in discussions with officials of Mumbai Port Authority and Maharashtra Maritime Board.

Each new-generation electric water taxi will be equipped with a 122 kW charging capacity battery, which will facilitate a 30-minute quick recharge at certain stations. Powered by a 64kWh battery, these taxis can operate for 2-4 hours after charging.
