Mumbai’s coastal road project has been undertaken by the Municipal Corporation but since GST is going to roll out July 1 onwards, the revenue generated from octroi will go down.

Ravi Raj estimates the project to cost around INR 15,000 Cr. According to him, although the project is undertaken by the Municipal Corporation, the State Government is being associated with the project and if that’s the case, then the government should contribute to the project expenses.
