Navi Mumbai: Metro Fares From INR 10-40

Travellers will pay INR 15 for 2-4 km and INR 20 for 4-6 km. Moreover, they will have to pay INR 25 for 6-8 km and INR 30 for 8-10 km. Lastly, they will have to pay INR 40 beyond 10 km.

Before the operations of the Navi Mumbai Metro commence, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has reportedly decided the prices for the metro. This according to reports, has been undertaken after considering multiple factors that include prices of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport AC buses.

Based on accounts, the minimum price will be INR 10 for a 2km ride, with a maximum of INR 40 for travel over 10km. CIDCO officials have claimed that the prices of the metro will be significantly cheaper than that of the NMMT AC bus fare.

According to the decision undertaken by the CIDCO, travellers will pay INR 15 for 2-4 km and INR 20 for 4-6 km. Moreover, they will have to pay INR 25 for 6-8 km and INR 30 for 8-10 km. Lastly, they will have to pay INR 40 beyond 10 km.

Recently, for the Pendhar-Central Park route of the metro, it received an interim speed certificate from the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO). Now, the CIDCO is waiting for the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) inspection and approvals, reports stated.

In other developments, CIDCO has been following up with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) in regards to the revaluation of building NOCs approved by them for the construction of buildings in the rehabilitation areas of the NMIA.
