IAS Officer, Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, the vice-chairman and managing director of City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO), the urban development authority of Navi Mumbai, took to Twitter on Friday, December 3, to provide updates of the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
Mukherjee stated that the CIDCO has been following up with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) in regards to the revaluation of building NOCs approved by them for the construction of buildings in the rehabilitation areas of the NMIA.
According to Mukherjee, “Out of the six pockets, AAI has revalidated the NOCs of five. These validated sectors include Sector-1 (Vadghar), Sector 24 (Vahal), Sector 25 (Vahal 2), Sector 25A (Vahal 3), Pushpak Nagar.”
The 5 sectors for which revalidated Airport NOC has been received are Sector-1 (Vadghar), Sector 24 (Vahal), Sector 25 (Vahal 2), Sector 25A (Vahal 3), Pushpak Nagar}, which are extended till January to March 2024.

These are extended from January to March 2024. After this revalidation, CIDCO accorded seven development permissions and gave 34 OCs in certain pockets. Mukherjee added, “The Unified Development Control and Promotion Regulations are applicable for the CIDCO area.”
Additionally, Mukherjee stated that the plots allotted to the Project Affected People in certain pockets that have an area up to 450 Sq.M. can be developed in semidetached and in a row house type pattern.
Thereby, the plots allotted to PAPs in R&R pockets having area up to 450 Sq.M. can be developed in semidetached and row house type pattern, with permissible FSI of 1.5, within height of 13m (excluding the height of the STILT floors for parking).

Therefore, Mukherjee believes that these advances are positive news for those affected by the Navi Mumbai International Airport.
