Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 Hits 1 Crore Ridership in 2 Years

The ridership on CIDCO’s Metro Line no. 1 Belapur to Pendhar has achieved the record ridership of 1 crore on September 06, 2025 since the commencement of metro service on this line. Navi Mumbai Metro project is being executed by CIDCO for strengthening the public transport system in Navi Mumbai.

The Line no. 1 Belapur to Pendhar was implemented, and the metro service commenced here on November 17, 2023. This Metro route has played a crucial role in providing an excellent connectivity to the offices in CBD Belapur area, Taloja MIDC and CIDCO’s housing complexes in Taloja and Kharghar areas.

For increasing the efficiency of the Metro service CIDCO has meticulously revised the time table in such a way that as of now Metro service is available at the frequency of every 10 minutes during peak hours and 15 minutes during non-peak hours, in both directions between Belapur and Taloja. The Metro fare has been reduced, therefore the minimum ticket fare is INR 10 while the maximum is INR 30. These commuter-friendly measures are drawing more and more commuters to this Line and hence have achieved the record ridership of 1 crore within a period of just two years.
