Footfalls at Mahalaxmi Temple increase many folds during Navratri 2019 as devotees from across Mumbai head over there. Therefore, in order to assist the devotees at the temple, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has been running additional buses.
BEST will be deploying 22 additional buses on route number 33, 37, 57, 77, 83, 124, 151, 357 along with the Mahalaxmi Special 8112 bus for the nine days of Navratri.
Along with this, BEST has also appointed officials at various bus stops such as Vatsalbai Desai Chowk (Haji Ali), Vasantrao Naik Chowk (Tardeo), J. Mehta Marg, Byculla Railway Station (W), Mahalaxmi Railway Station and Mahalaxmi Temple, to clear crowds from the respective places.
