BEST launches new AC bus service between KEM Hospital and Dadar

Over the last few months, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has witnessed a significant rise in its daily ridership. The increased daily ridership has resulted in the prompting the bus corporation to add buses to its fleet to meet up with the demand. As a result, a few days back, BEST had bought 25 Midi buses which have been kept at the Wadala depot currently.

Within days of its arrival, the buses have been put to use by the transport wing, as BEST has started a new bus service between Dadar and KEM Hospital. The bus service began from Tuesday, January 7 and is expected to provide the passengers with a comfortable means of transport for the route.

Currently, the number of Midi and Mini buses that BEST possesses is 166 and utilising these AC buses, BEST has begun the bus service between KEM Hospital and Dadar.

The bus service commences its first journey for the day at 6:50 am and the last bus for the KEM Hospital-Dadar route leaves at 10:40 pm. The journey will cost the passenger a ticket of mere ₹6, which is economical for relatives visiting patients at the hospital.

According to reports, the taxi drivers from Dadar would create a ruckus for accepting fare to KEM Hospital and therefore, bus number A-217 will prove to assist such passengers.
