On January 19 or 20, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to flag off the Vande Bharat Express from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSTM) railway station, as per the sources. 

This will be the second Vande Bharat Express of CR and Mumbai which will run between CSMT and Solapur. The first Vande Bharat Express of Mumbai between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar was also flagged off by Mr. Modi in Gandhinagar in September 2022.

As per the officials, the timetable of the CSMT- Solapur Vande Bharat Express is in the last stage of completion.

A railway official said at present, two Vande Bharat trains are being made at the Integral Coach Factory of Chennai every month. However, from February onwards, three trains will be produced every month.

In just 52 seconds, the train can move from 0-100 km per hour and has a maximum speed of 180 km per hour. It will be eco-friendly as the ACs will be 15% more energy efficient. Along with executive class, passengers of all classes will be able to enjoy the side recliner seat facility. The feature of 180-degree rotating seats has been added to the executive coaches.
