Railway aspirants’ protest row: 10 police injured and two students behind the bars

The commuters had no clue that on Tuesday morning, they would face a delay due to students' protest which went over four and half hours, paralysing the city.




No sooner the students called off the protest, Dadar police took action against 800 to 1000 students, arresting two students, confirmed deputy police commissioner Samadhan Pawar.


Who were arrested?

Atish Kumar Sahu and Gokul Lohare were the ones who were arrested and booked under section 307 of IPC.



Police, students injured

In order to tame the students, police carried out a lathi charge. In reaction to which, students started pelting stones on police officials who were manning the crowd. During this incident, 10 policemen were injured which also included women constables and three students were injured due to the lathi-charge. Injured police and students were treated at railway’s One Rupee Clinic.
