Bandra railway police held meeting to educate people

Santacruz- After the repeated incidents of suspicious acts on the tracks, railway not seems to take any chance about the security of rail and commuters. So sub inspector Kharmate had called a meeting of the residents of Sewa Nagar nears Milan Sub way on Saturday.

The meeting was called to increase awareness among residents about the recent anti-social activities on the Diva - Panvel Trans Harbour railway, and increasing number of railway accidents on the Central Railway. The Bandra Railway police called a meeting to make people aware of the problems first hand.

Around 50 slum dwellers were gathered for the meeting. As a precautionary measure, the Railway Police have warned people to keep an eye on the acts on or near the railway tracks so as to avoid any untoward incidents.

The Bandra Railway Police Sub Inspector Kharmate has also warned people not to throw balloons or colours during the Holi festival at running trains. A helpline number 9833331111 has been put into place to tackle emergencies.
