RPF saves a couple from crushing to death at Kalyan railway station

A husband and his wife were saved from falling down from the running train -- 1059 Godan Special -- at Kalyan station. The RPF saved them by pushing inside the train. Their son who was left behind, later thanked the railway police.

Alertness with agility is the hallmark of the Railway Protection Force manned at the railway stations. A husband and his wife were saved from falling down from the running train -- 1059 Godan Special -- at Kalyan station. The RPF personnel saved them by pushing them inside the train. Their son who was left behind later thanked the railway police.

On January 7, when train no 01059 DN Godan Covid special Exp was departing from Kalyan station platform no 4 a family was trying to board in coach no S-12 in a dangerous situation even after alerting them. On duty Head, Constable Sheshrao Patil noticed the same and quickly pushed the female passenger inside, who was about to fall. At the same time it was noticed that at the next door, the husband carrying the luggage was also falling down while onboarding. He was also pushed inside the train.

Amidst all this, their son was left behind at the platform. The particulars of the passenger was collected namely Asfak Mohd Khan, 61-year-old, the resident Bhiwandi and his family were to travel from Kalyan- Shahganj.

In this case, two lives were saved by Head Constable, RPF, KYN assisted by Constable S P Yadav. Their 25-year-old son Abthab Asfhak Khan thanked RPF for the saving his parents.
