Govandi – For a few more bucks, drivers of share autorickshaws are playing with the lives of passengers by carrying more than the permitted number of seats in their vehicles. These auto drivers are allegedly getting indirect support from police officers as no action is being taken against such auto drivers. When asked, Shivaji Nagar police said that auto drivers attack the cops if action is taken against them. Deonar police said that passengers should follow traffic rules. Manoj, a passenger, said that share autorickshaw drivers wait till the fifth passenger does not come.
