Students Appearing for Board Exam can skip the Mumbai Metro queue

Students can get their tickets just by showing their hall tickets on the Metro station help desk. HSC exams will commence next week and SSC, ICSE and CBSE examinations will start from the first week of March.

Mumbai Metro has recently announced that students appearing for their board examination can avail Metro train services without standing in the queue for tickets. Students can get their tickets just by showing their hall tickets on the Metro station help desk.

High School Certificate (HSC) exams will commence next week and Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations will start from the first week of March. It is being reported that Andheri and Ghatkopar will have a dedicated helpdesk to help students. In addition to this, other stations will have customer care that will function as a helpdesk for students and their parents or guardians. Metro 1 will allow all students and their parents or guardians to buy tickets without standing in a queue on all exam days.

 Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) has announced that it will provide free BEST services for all students from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools and specially-abled people. The bus service is also planning to give 50 per cent concession to senior citizens.

Notably, Metro 1 runs on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar line. The 11.40 km line is fully elevated and consists of 12 stations from Versova to Ghatkopar. The line connects the eastern and western suburbs of Mumbai. It had started in 2008 and has a daily ridership of 4,05,107. It has the eighth-highest passenger density of any metro line in the world.
