Moreover, Shri N Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Sons was called on by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the backdrop of the official handover of Air India to the Tata group.

Chandrasekharan was quoted by news agency ANI saying, "We're totally delighted that this process is complete & happy to have Air India back in the Tata Group. We look forward to walking with everyone to create a world-class airline".
According to reports, Air India Limited, Air India Express and AISATS (AI stake) have become part of the Tata Group on Thursday, January 27.
Citizens also took to Twitter to appreciate the initiative.
