From Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) Metro-7 and Dahir Nagar Metro-2 from Dahisar, 62 Metro trains will be running under these two metro services. Further, about 376 coaches will be added to these 62 metro trains.
For the construction of these coaches, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will get the tender in the next 15 days. The work of Metro-7 and Metro-2 (A) has already started in full swing; hence the tender is also being removed for the metro box. MMRDA wants to complete both Metro Metro work as soon as possible.
Moreover, an official said that till 2019, the work of these two Metros will be completed. Metro-2 (A) is 18.6 km long and a provision of Rs 6410 crores has been made for this, while Metro-7 is 16.4 km long and its budget has been fixed at Rs 6208 crores. There are 14 stations in Metro 7 and 17 stations in Metro 2 (A).
Aside of this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has himself been paying attention to this project so as to complete it as soon as possible. As a matter of fact, it was just two days before the Chief Minister reviewed the work at night. He clarified that the entire project will be completed by 2019.
On one side, the infrastructure is being prepared for the metro and on the other hand, MMRDA is completely engrossed in making arrangements for getting coaches for the metros. A Metro official said that the tender will be released in 15 days and it will take one year for the arrival of the coaches.
