The construction of a foot overbridge near Magathane Metro station, Borivali (East), will be undertaken on April 3. With this in mind, both sides of the Western Express Highway (WEH) will be shut for traffic between 11 PM on April 3 and 6 AM on April 4 as per traffic officials.
Traffic officials have recommended heavy vehicles heading towards Vasai-Virar from Mumbai to take a right turn at JVLR junction, continue on the road towards Powai/Vikhroli, take a turn at Eastern Express Highway, move towards Thane, and finally use the Ghodbunder road to reach Vasai-Virar.

Here are the directions recommended by the traffic police for light vehicles heading towards Vasai-Virar:

Meanwhile, heavy vehicles coming from Vasai-Virar to Mumbai will have to turn left at Fountain Hotel, continue on Ghodbunder road, take the Eastern Express Highway, and finally move through the Anand Nagar checkpoint.
Light vehicles travelling in this direction are required to turn left near Pawaskar flyover, take a right at Wireless compound, continue on Link Road, turn left at Mith Chowky junction, continue on SV Road towards Malad subway, and reach the Western Express Highway.
