State government approves Uttan to Virar Sea Bridge route

Commuting in the suburbs of Mumbai will now become easier. Uttan to Virar Sagari Setu route was approved in the state cabinet meeting. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. In the first phase submitted by MMRDA, Uttan to Virar connecting road will be constructed with sea bridge and in the second phase Virar to Palghar sea bridge will be constructed.


The loan taken for this project will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Finance Ministry. MMRDA will prepare feasibility report and detailed project report for this.

Decision to build 23 thousand kilometres of roads

The decision to build 23 thousand kilometres of roads under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana was taken in the state cabinet meeting. Out of this, 10 thousand km of roads will be built this year, while the remaining 13 thousand km will be built in the years 2025-26 and 2026-27.


The then Finance Minister had approved the development of 40 thousand km of roads in rural areas. According to this, 10 thousand km in Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana-2. A lot of work has been done. Also 7 thousand km under research and development. Along with rural roads, other district roads are also being upgraded.
