The coronavirus has hit several sectors hard, including the railways. Recently, Western Railway announced that its passenger count had dipped by 25% owing to the surge in COVID-19 positive cases across the city.

Both departments have been involved with relief efforts as Central Railway has already distributed around 1,000 food packets for the needy while also setting up quarantine facilities in Mulund and some railway hospitals across the city. The authorities have also done a great job of spreading awareness about coronavirus.
