In the month of January, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Western Railway (WR) detected 47 cases of touting or illegal sale of tickets, with a total of 183 e-tickets, valued at INR 5.93 lakh.
To launch special drives against touts, the RPF WR formed special teams, said Sumit Thakur, chief public relations officer of WR.
Taking intensive action against illegal touting activities, WR’s RPF team have come down heavily against unauthorised touts.
