Western Railway (WR) conducted an awareness drive at Andheri and Malad stations against trespassing. A Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel, in the attire of Yamraj (lord of death), warned people of dangers of trespassing.

Notably, WR recently celebrated its 69th Foundation Day. They introduced a new rake, especially for women commuters. The new rake has its interiors designed keeping in mind needs of women commuters with spacious luggage rack, improved seats and CCTV cameras in all it coaches providing better surveillance.
After receiving several complaints from commuters that the polycarbonate sheets are breaking down and thus causing inconvenience to commuters, the seats of the first-class compartment has been redesigned from blue colour to brown colour with higher backrest.
