Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan to come together for Vikram Vedha

This film will be a remake of the 2017's popular Tamil neo-noir thriller which starred Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.

Bollywood superstars Saif Ali Khan and Amir Khan will soon be seen together in the Hindi remake of 2017's popular Tamil Neo-Noir thriller, Vikram Vedha, which starred Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.

As reported in popular publication Filmfare, Aamir will play a gangster and Saif will play an honest cop, which was essayed by Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan in the respective film. Husband-wife duo Pushkar and Gayathri will also be directing the film which is expected to begin shooting by March 2020.

Many popular production houses and names wanted to remake the film. However, the announcement of this remake was made last year where it was said that the film will be produced as a collaboration between Y NOT Studios, Plan C Studios, Reliance Entertainment, and Friday Filmworks. Earlier it was also reported that Shah Rukh Khan and Madhavan will play the leads in the film, however, no confirmation or announcements regarding the same were made.

The original film in Tamil was released in 2017 and was made on a budget of Rs 11 crores. However, the film gained popularity and collected about ₹10 crores int he film week and a total of ₹50 crores at the box office. Besides the above-mentioned actors, the film also starred Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Shraddha Srinath playing the female leads.
