The Munna Bhai superstar, Sanjay Dutt, was taken by surprise when one his fans, Nishi Tripathi, legally declared him as her heir. She has, in her will, written all her property in the name of Sanjay Dutt.
The actor was informed about this by the Walkeshwar branch of Bank of Baroda officials on a phone call a night after Tripathi passed away. Sanjay Dutt immediately issued a letter to the bank that he had no intention of claiming any of Tripathi’s possession.
Sanjay Dutt has sent a letter to the attorney in which he has stated that he has returned all the property to the Tripathi family and is not making any claim.
As actors, we are used to fandom; our fans name their children after us, follow us and give us gifts. But this has really surprised me. I'm not going to make any claims. I do not even know Nishi. I am very moved by this entire episode,” said the actor.
“We have communicated that Sanjay Dutt will be seeking no claim on the belongings and will adhere to any legal proceedings necessary to transfer the valuables back to the family,” Dutt’s attorney Jadhav said.
