Toilet Ek Prem Katha producer Shree Narayan Singh will be seen exploring the issue of electricity theft through his upcoming film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, the movie is set in Uttarakhand.
In the trailer of the movie, Shahid Kapoor and Divyendu Sharma are portrayed as best friends. Divyendu runs a factory for which he receives an electricity bill of a hefty amount, due to which he commits suicide. Later, Shahid who is seen as an advocate by profession decides to seek justice for his friend. Shraddha Kapoor plays a pivotal role in making Shahid realise his responsibility. Towards the end of the trailer, Yami Gautam is seen as the prosecution lawyer fighting the case opposite Shahid Kapoor. It would surely be interesting to watch how Shahid tackles all the obstacles and tries to find justice for his friend.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is all set to hit the theatres on September 21, 2018.
