Anubhav Sinha’s last two films, Mulk and Article 15, were one of the most well-received socially relevant films of recent times. Both the movies had had the right combination of hard-hitting content, nuanced filmmaking and entertainment. The director is now gearing up for his next film, Thappad, which stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Interestingly, Taapsee also starred in Mulk. Thappad is also expected to be a socially important and compelling film and is scheduled to release on March 6, 2020, which happens to be the women’s Day weekend.
Today, Anubhav Sinha took to his twitter handle to introduce the male lead of the film, Pavail Gulati. Pavail is a powerhouse performer whose filmography boasts of some important films and web-based content. Gulati has acted in Ittefaq, Kalank and was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s series, Made in Heaven.

When asked about working with Pavail, Anubhav Sinha said,
I was blown by his audition. I have shot with him for four days now and I must say he is an actor to watch out for next year. This is probably the first time I finalised an actor in a lead part without even having met him and I am happy I did.'
It will surely be interesting to see an ace director like Sinha direct two remarkable actors like Pavail and Taapsee.
