As reported earlier actor Irrfan Khan had released a statement on his social media platform where he mentioned that he is suffering from a ‘rare disease’. The actor also said that he will disclose the particulars soon. Today Blackmail actor again took his Twitter platform and spoke about the details of his ailment.
The actor posted, “ Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect” - Margaret Mitchell. The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumors that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research ;-) To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”

The actor who was gearing up for the promotion of his upcoming movie Blackmail, couldn’t attend any of the promotional events due to his illness. While talking to a media agency about the release of the movie Abhinay Deo director of Blackmail said, “Irrfan doesn't want us to postpone the film. Bhushan Kumar and I will make sure that Blackmail gets the best possible release. The onus of marketing and releasing the film is now onto us. We took the decision of launching the song only after meeting Irrfan."
