YouTuber Paras Singh, in a recently shared video, passed racist comments against Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering, by calling him 'non-Indian,' and this statement made by the influencer was not taken well by his followers and other citizens in the country. Besides this, he also stated that the state was not a part of India, but was a part of China instead.

This irked fellow Indians and he was soon slammed on social media platforms for his racist statements and comments which further landed him in controversy. Besides the commoners, celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao also took to Instagram to share their thoughts

Varun shared a story and posted a message that read, "Having spent so much time in Arunachal Pradesh, it is time we educate ourselves and others about how wrong this is. AP."

Following this, Kriti Sanon also shared her thoughts over Paras' remarks and said, "What’s wrong with people!! It's high time we treat every individual and every region of our country with equal respect. Thank you for talking about this Amar Kaushik."

Director Amar Kaushik, who is working with Varun and Kriti in Bhediya, shot the film in Arunachal Pradesh. Expressing his displeasure over the comments made by the YouTuber, he shared an Instagram Story which read, "Being ignorant about your country and its region is stupidity in itself, but when that ignorance is expressed in an offensive manner, it becomes toxic. We all need to call out and condemn such ignorance in one voice and make all idiots understand that it is not acceptable anymore."

Actor Rajkummar Rao also agreed with Amar's statement.

As per reports, a case was registered against him for passing racial comments and Punjab Police arrested Paras on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Earlier that day, he also posted a video apologising for his action. His message read, "Sorry Arunachal Pradesh."

Paras' mother also apologised and requested forgiveness for his actions.
