Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, on Wednesday, December 9, took to Twitter to inform her fans that she had tested positive for coronavirus. The actress confirmed the information with a message that read, "I'd like to inform everyone that I have tested positive for COVID-19. There's absolutely nothing to worry as I am feeling fine and have quarantined myself as per BMC and my doctor's advice. So, I'm gonna ride this tide, rest it out and resume work soon. Till then, I'm reading all the warm wishes and they seem to be working. Be safe guys, the pandemic hasn't gone yet!"

As per reports, she was currently shooting for her upcoming film with Rajkummar Rao and was based out of Chandigarh until last week. Information regarding her project was reported on Filmfare.
Earlier this month, reports about actors Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor testing positive for coronavirus was also shared on social media. However, Anil Kapoor clarified that he had tested negative. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan took to social media and stated that he along with Neetu Kapoor and director Raj Mehta were positive for COVID-19 infection during the shoot of his upcoming film 'Jug Jug Jeeyo.'
His message shared on Instagram said, "So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time thank u."
In the past year, many Bollywood celebrities have tested positive for the coronavirus. The most notable names in the list include Amitabh Bachchan and his family members Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai. Even their granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan had tested positive. Sunny Deol too had tested positive for COVID-19 in the last week.
Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Genelia Deshmukh, Maneish Paul, Tamannaah Bhatia, Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, Baahubali director SS Rajamouli too had tested positive for coronavirus and have made a complete recovery from this disease.
