Actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan-starrer, Kedarnath has landed in trouble before hitting the big screen. A petition has been filed against Kedarnath in Bombay High Court by Adv. Rameshchandra Mishra and Adv. Prabhakar Tripathi on Wednesday.

The petitioners have asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to rewatch and reexamine the film. Till then, the petitioners have demanded a stay on the release of the film throughout the state.

The reason behind stalling the release of the film is that Kedarnath is one of the prime places for Hindu devotees and has a temple that is vital for the Hindus. Therefore, they have asked the Censor Board to change the name as the film is associating a place of faith with a love story.

On the other hand, CBFC officials claimed that the petition is politically motivated and have clarified that they have examined the movie properly during the first time itself.

The next hearing for the petition has been kept on December 6, a day prior to the release of the film.
