The Maharashtra government has issued guidelines for the reopening of cinema halls, auditoriums and yoga institutes from tomorrow ( November 5) after several months of shutting down in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
As per the guidelines, the cinemas, theatres and multiplexes will be allowed to function with 50 per cent seating capacity outside containment zones from November 5, 2020.
The government also issued a notification stating that no eatables will be allowed inside the premises. The standard operating procedures for the same will be issued by the Cultural Affairs Department and local authorities.
However, the state government has also granted permission to open swimming pools used for training of state, national and international level sportsperson along with all indoor sports such as badminton, tennis, squash etc. from November 5 with social distancing norms.
Meanwhile, there is no word on when the local trains will be opened for the general public. There was a letter that the state government has shared with the Railways Ministry that suggests opening local trains with staggered timing. However, there is no word on by when these services will re-start for the general public. At present, only essential services staff and women can travel by locals. A meeting is likely to be held with Railways officials early next week.
