Deb Medhekar’s recent 'Bioscopewala' is an intriguing story of a father and his daughter. It strikes the chords of emotion, affection, and complexities of a relationship. The film is an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s classic tale 'Kabuliwala' and to more talk about this beautiful version, we met the lead actress of the film Geetanjali Thapa.

Just before the release when we met Geetanjali, she said “I absolutely loved the script, it was a great character and being an extraction of the famous Tagore’s ‘Kabuliwala’ makes it more special. Everyone has worked very hard on the script in order to portray it real. Moreover, the film is Sunil Doshi’s eight years long journey and is very close to his heart.”

Talking about her experience of working with the versatile actor Danny Denzongpa, “I was awestruck by his presence and obviously little nervous to share screen space with him. He is the gentleman. He used to make everyone feel comfortable and entertained when present on sets”, averred the actress.

When asked about her childhood remembrances about films, she went nostalgic. Geetanjali used to watch films with her Mom and Dad. She remembered watching the film 'Casablanca' as a child and getting all jittery.

Further, conversing about her future projects the star mentioned, “Good work has always inspired and enthralled me. I urge to do good work with a good team as a whole whether it be regional films, short films, web series, feature films or international films”.

Bidding goodbye, she said that she admires acting and is grateful to be part of the film industry.
