Veteran actor Kishore Pradhan (86) breathed his last on Friday. He was known for his comedy roles both in Marathi and Hindi films.

Famous Marathi writer and poet, Chandrashekhar Gokhale expressed his grief on Facebook and remembered Kishore Pradhan for his talent of mimicking Johny Walker and Jagdip impeccably.

Pradhan was last seen in Marathi film, Subh Lagna Savdhaan. His performance in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Lalbaug Parel and Santosh Manjrekar’s Shivaji Raje Bhonsle Boltoy received appreciation from the critics. He has also acted in more than 100 Marathi theatre plays, and about 18 English plays.

He started his acting career when he was studying at Morris College in Nagpur, and used to participate in his college festivals. Later on, he started his own theatre group, Natraj. Pradhan is popular for his work in Hindi films like Jab We Met, and Lage Raho Munnabhai. He will always be remembered for the role he played of a railway station master in Jab We Met where his dialogue, "Akeli ladki khuli hui tijori ki tarah hoti hai.
