Karan breaks silence

SHARES

Mumbai - After Uri attacks too much was written about Pakistani artists, movies featuring them and MNS' stand against them. Topping the news was 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ', Dharma Production's upcoming Diwali release. But producer - director Karan Johar kept mum altogether. Now, Karan has broken his silence...
Karan has tweeted, "I need to say this and say this with the strength that my country comes first. I have always felt that the best way to express patriotism is to spread love and that's all I have ever tried to do through my work and cinemas. When I shot my film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' in September to December last year, India was trying to make peace with Pakistan. Things have changed later. I deeply respect my country. I condemn terrorism and I salute and respect our soldiers. Country stands first for me but banning my film will be an injustice done to the crew members of this film."
Karan's twit came after the MNS stand opposing the release of his film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ' and alleged threat to disturb the screening at multiplexes.
