Acclaimed Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has filed a criminal defamation complaint against Kamaal Rashid Khan alias KRK in Indore court, for the latter is claimed to have made an insulting tweet against Bajpayee, cited reports.
Bajpayee’s lawyer stated that the actor recorded his statement by appearing before the court. A criminal complaint has been filed within the judicial magistrate first-class court against KRK under the IPC Section 500 (punishment for defamation) in Indore. Paresh S Joshi who is Bajpayee’s lawyer in a press release elucidated the actor requested the court to record a criminal defamation case for the same, mentioned reports.
If reports are to be believed, Joshi said that KRK on July 26 posted a tweet that tainted Bajpayee’s image in the eyes of his fans. KRK is said to have passed comments on the actor’s latest web series, by calling him a marijuana addict, whilst adding that he doesn’t watch web series.
Joshi during his conversation with the Indian Express elaborated that Bajpayee filed a defamation private criminal complaint against KRK, wherein his statement was recorded by the court, with September 4 being the next date for hearing.
This defamation suit comes in the backdrop of a somewhat similar complaint filed by Salman Khan against KRK for his insulting tweets after his film, Radhe’s release.
