Many Bollywood actors have tried their luck on television till now. These artists have hosted many programs on TV. This includes legendary actors like Kapil Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Karan Johar, Amitabh Bachchan. These actors charge lakhs of rupees for an episode of this program on television, similar to a film. However, Salman Khan has surpassed all these actors in terms of remuneration on television. Salman Khan has become India's most expensive TV star.
According to the information, Kapil Sharma (The Kapil Sharma Show), Kangana Ranaut (Lock Up), Karan Johar (Koffee With Karan) , Amitabh Bachchan (Kaun Banega Crorepati) took a fee of INR 1 crore per episode to host their show. However, Salman Khan has broken all records of remuneration.
According to media reports, Salman Khan charged a total of INR 1000 crore for 'Bigg Boss 16' last year. Salman had told about this in an interview. Reports in 'Siyasat' and 'Tellychakkar' have said that Salman Khan will take INR 25 crore a week to host 'Bigg Boss OTT Season 2'. The remuneration for an episode works out to around INR 12.50 crore. Following this amount, Salman has become the highest-grossing actor on television.
On the other hand, Rupali Ganguly is the highest paid actress among the actresses working in the television sector. According to a report in 'Times of India', 'Anupama' i.e. Rupali Ganguly charges INR 3 lakh for an episode.
