Nariman Point - The employees of co-operative banks are in the process to launch an agitation against the Central government and the Reserve Bank of India for stopping the co-operative banks from accepting the old notes of demonetised high value currencies. Co-operative Bank Union Employees’ Association’s executive president Sunil Salvi, while addressing a press conference at Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, said that the RBI has been behaving partially by not allowing the co-operative banks to accept the demonetised old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. The nationalised and private banks are also not accepting amounts from the cooperative banks which is not good. Hence, the association is preparing for the agitation, he added.
