Kolhapur-Mumbai air service shut down from three days

The service of the route between Kolhapur and Mumbai began in April under the UDAN scheme by the government by Air Deccan. However, the service has been suddenly shut down by the company due to some technical issue which has annoyed the passengers.

The air service from Kolhapur to Mumbai has completely been halted for the last three days, causing extreme trouble for the passengers. Due to the technical difficulties, the air services have been shut down. Along with the Kolhapur-Mumbai route, the air service of Nashik-Pune, Nashik-Mumbai, and Jalgaon-Mumbai also have been shut down. 

Air Deccan is the company that provides the service for the route between Kolhapur and Mumbai. Kolhapur MP Dhananjay Mahadik has warned that if the service does not resume in 15 days, then the company will be blacklisted. He has also stated that if Air Deccan does not resume the service, then Indigo will replace the company.

In April, Air Deccan started operations of Kolhapur-Mumbai and Mumbai-Kolhapur under the UDAN scheme. However, the passengers are unhappy due to the current situation.
