Goods & Services Tax (GST) is an indirect tax throughout India to replace taxes levied by the central and state governments. Under GST, goods and services will be taxed at the following rates, 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%. GST will roll out on July 1 across India. However, this tax will be levied from June 30 midnight on certain services.
These are few services which will charge GST by midnight.
If you dining at a hotel on Friday night and your bill gets generated post 12, you will then have to pay GST.
If you're planning to take a cab on Friday night, well, you might just run into GST on the way. Make sure you give it a ride.
Mobile bill and recharge
Your mobile bill which is generated post July 1, will be generated along with GST. Also, if you recharge post 12 am, you shall be introduced to GST.
