EMI Will Now Also Be Deducted On Holidays

Banking transactions will now also take place on Sundays and other holidays. The Reserve Bank of India has decided to continue the National Automated Clearing House System 7 days a week.

Since August 1, there have been some significant alterations in the banking and financial regulations. These changes related to the EMIs, ATMs, domestic gas, cash transactions etc., will have a direct impact on the consumer’s pockets.

Additionally, banking transactions will now also occur on Sundays and other holidays since the Reserve Bank of India has decided to continue the National Automated Clearing House System, 7 days a week. Owing to this change, salaries and pensions will also be credited on Sundays, bank holidays and other holidays. Moreover, the EMI of the loans will also be deducted on holidays.

Apart from this, there will be changes in withdrawals, deposits and other charges including, cheque books from ICICI Bank. The customers of this bank will now be able to transact only four times by cheque at the bank branch. These transactions will be free. Post which, individuals will have to pay an additional charge of Rs 150, each time they either withdraw or deposit money.

From August 1 onwards, individuals can make free transactions thrice a month in six metropolitans through ATMs. In other cities five transactions are free, for other transactions, there will be a charge. As a fee, people will have to pay Rs 20 per transaction in metropolitan cities and Rs 8.50 in other cities.

Fees will also be charged for Indian Post Payment Bank’s Door Step Banking facility. Until now, there was no charge for doorstep banking, but from now onwards, individuals will have to pay Rs 20 more as GST for the said facility.

Customers will also have to pay Rs 20 more as GST for money transfer, mobile payments etc. The same fee will also have to be paid, for transferring money to India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) accounts or any other bank’s customer account.
