On the 75th anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose flagging the tricolour at Port Blair, Government of India on Tuesday announced the release of a commemorative coin of ₹75. The Finance Ministry made the official announcement regarding the same. 

The coin will weigh 35 grams in which 50 per cent will be silver, 40 per cent will be copper, five per cent will be nickel, and five per cent will be zinc. The commemorative coin will be developed by the government’s official mint.

The coin will possess the picture of Subhash Chandra Bose, giving salutations to the national flag and Dhwajarohan Diwas (Flag Hoisting Day) will be written in Hindi and English on the coin. For the first time on December 30, 1943, Netaji hoisted the national flag at the Cellular Jail in Port Blair.1
