Mumbai- Places of worship are also under the scanner now. To control the inflow of black money in places of worship, the state law department has issued a circular which direct these places to deposit the donations received in banks. Notes and coins both need to be deposited by these places of worship. This order is binding to all religious places in the state, including the Siddhivinyak temple, the Saibaba Sansthan, Kolhapur's Tulja Bhavani temple and the Vithal temple at Pandharpur. This order will control the inflow of black money, while banks will receive lower denomination notes to give away to people. When Narendra Rane, chairman of Siddhivinayak committee was contacted, he admitted to having received the circular and welcomed this move.
