Kindergarten teachers have complained that the toys supplied by the contractor for children to play in school in kindergartens under the jurisdiction of Kalyan Dombivli Municipality are of very poor quality. No teacher is willing to complain or speak openly about this fearing that the municipality will take action if they complain about it openly.


There are a total of 42 Kindergartens under Kalyan Dombivli Municipality. Children from the area are admitted in these kindergartens. For the entertainment of these children, the women and child welfare department of the municipality provides the kindergartens with toys such as small tricycles for children to play in school, different types of plastic birds, slides, plastic objects games that develop children's skills.

During the last two months, kindergartens in Kalyan, Dombivli under the jurisdiction of the municipality have been supplied with toys by the Women and Child Welfare Department. Kindergarten teachers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, complained that most of the toys were of poor quality and made of brittle plastic. Commissioner Dr. Indurani Jakhar has taken serious notice of this matter and the parents of the kindergarten children and kindergarten teachers are demanding action against the culprits in this case.


Babies play with toys without too much collision. After sitting on the three-wheeled bicycle, she is wheeled around the kindergarten room. The weight of children sitting on this bicycle is manageable. However, the newly acquired toys are broken. Beaks, wings of plastic bird toys are broken. Kindergarten teachers have complained that the wheels of the bicycle have come off.
