The accident insurance claim of Vidip Jadhav, a police constable serving as the personal security officer (PSO), has been approved following his death in the tragic Baramati aircraft crash. Jadhav was among those who lost their lives in the accident involving an aircraft that was carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
According to official sources, Jadhav had taken an accident insurance policy with New India Assurance Company. After the required documentation and verification process, the insurance company approved a claim amount of INR 1.05 crore, providing crucial financial relief to his bereaved family.
Service Record and Personal Background
Vidip Jadhav joined the Mumbai Police in 2009 and served the force for more than a decade. Over the years, he was part of the security arrangements for several senior political leaders. Since 2019, he had been assigned to Ajit Pawar’s personal security detail, where he was regarded as a disciplined and dependable officer.
Jadhav was a resident of Kalwa in Thane district. He is survived by his wife, a teenage daughter, and a young son. His sudden death has left the family devastated.
Support for the Family
Following the incident, several political leaders and public representatives visited Jadhav’s residence to express their condolences. Assurances of support were extended to the family, including help with the education and welfare of his children.
A Measure of Relief Amid Tragedy
While no compensation can replace the loss of life, the swift approval of the accident insurance claim is being seen as a significant step in ensuring financial stability for Jadhav’s family during an extremely difficult period. The incident has once again highlighted the risks faced by security personnel in the line of duty.
