BMC likely to take four months to complete Class IV Employees’ recruitment

After the span of eight years, the BMC will be filling up 1388 posts for Class IV employees for which interested applicants have to fill up online forms. However, there are many questions regarding the procedure.

Standing Committee’s permission is a must

There is a possibility that the standing committee will give a nod for the project on November 15, Wednesday. Applicants will get estimated 15 days time to fill up applications, i.e by November 30, they will have to submit their applications.

Applicant should be SSC pass

Initially, there was no education bar for Class IV employees’ posts but this year, the applicants should be at least 10th pass.

Evaluation and call letters

After accepting the forms in November, the civic body will evaluate the forms in December after which they will give out call letters asking applicants to give exams.

Documentation and appointment letters

Applicants who will pass the exams will be asked to submit necessary documents followed by police verification. Candidates who will pass these procedures will get the appointment letters.

Four months time period

It is estimated that the whole process will take four months of time, which means, by March 2018, the recruitment process will be complete.

We have sent the proposal of appointing enrolment agency Mahaonline company to carry out the online recruitment to the standing committee. Once we get the nod, we will start accepting the forms and in four months, the recruitment will be done,” Sudhir Naik, Gen Admin Department, Deputy Commissioner.
