Since Bandra Station is a heritage site, the original structure will not be changed. A reserve fund of ₹66.62 crore has been allotted for the project under the Interim Budget 2019-20.

Under the initiative, Bandra station will receive wooden benches and along with this, it will witness an illuminating atmosphere at night as Railways will install lantern-shaped LED lights. The entire project is expected to be completed within 6-8 months.

It is expected that the beautification will add value to the Bandra station which is currently one of the prominent stations on the Western strip of the Mumbai local train service and draw a large number of tourists through its exotic look.
