BMC Collects ₹1.8 Lakh From 52 Buses and 13 Trucks

BMC had already announced 61 authorised parking places out of which 24 were bus depots and 37 were bus terminals.

Amid the recent parking laws that have been implemented in the city, people have to land up paying hefty fines. Recently the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) collected ₹1.8 lakh from 52 buses and 13 trucks that were parked in G south, N Ward and K East.

Notably, the BMC had already announced 61 authorised parking places out of which 24 were bus depots and 37 were bus terminals. It further has 146 Public Parking Lots (PPLs) across the city, including 26 multi-storeyed PPLs with a total parking capacity of around 38,000 to 40,000 vehicles. 

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has recently launched an application named as MCGM 24*7 to direct people towards a PPL. One can enter their location and the app will show you the nearest PPL along with the directions.
