Mumbai: BMC instructs Kurla and Bhandup residents to boil and filter drinking water for next 4 days

Citizens of Kurla and Bhandup areas will have to boil and filter water for the next four days. The residents of this area are supplied with water from the Powai Low Level Reservoir. The structural repair work of the reservoir has been completed. Water supply will be provided from the structurally repaired reservoir, Kappa No. 2, of the Powai Lower Level Reservoir from Monday, June 23. Therefore, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has appealed to people to boil and filter water for the next four days.

The repair work of a part of the Powai reservoir has been completed and water supply from this part will begin from next Monday. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, the BMC administration has appealed to the citizens of the 'L' sector, which includes the Kurla area, and the 'S' sector, which includes Bhandup and Vikhroli, to boil and filter water and drink it for the next 3 to 4 days after Monday, June 23, 2025.
