Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) fire-fighting department has procured new jumbo water tankers with 14,000-litre capacity.


Old tankers replaced with new ones

The old outdated water tankers have been replaced with these new eleven tankers which have high-pressure pumps, hose reels (cylindrical spindle) and high capacity water monitor facilities in it.

These new tankers will surely help the brigade to bring emergency situations under control.

According to reports in ‘The Freepress Journal’, Prabhat Rahangdale, the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) said that the recent fire in Mumbai created a necessity of bulk quantity of water which would be available for fire-fighting. These new tankers will help the team to discharge better service during a rescue operation.
