The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday, August 30, is administering both first and second doses of Covaxin and Covishield in Mumbai.

COVID-19 vaccination drive is being conducted from 9 am to 5 pm for citizens above 18 years of age, including frontline and healthcare workers. They can get their second dose from all the centres across the city.

Covishield will be administered across 305 centres in the city. Moreover, the drive-in inoculation, for those above 45 years of age, services is available at Cooperage Garden, Willington sports club, Oberoi mall, Inorbit mall, Growels mall, K Star Mall and Police Ground (Ghatkopar).

In addition, special inoculation sessions have been organised for students due to travel abroad for higher studies and persons flying out for professional reasons. They can get their jabs across all the state and civic-run centres in Mumbai, however, proper documentation is mandatory.

For pregnant women, the civic body has organised special vaccination drives at CAMA hospital, Nair hospital, Dr Babasaheb memorial GH, JJ hospital, Kasturba hospital, Matoshri Ramabai Thackeray maternity home, Sant Muktabai General Hospital, Rajawadi hospital and VD Savarkar hospital among others.

Meanwhile, Covaxin will be available at 28 vaccination centres. Each centre has been allocated 100 doses. 50 per cent are reserved for online registration while the remaining 50 per cent for on-spot registrations or walk-ins.

The civic body has urged those getting the second dose to carry the certificate of the first dose.
