BMC has also identified 186 centres for coronavirus which can help treat patients who are high-risk contacts from congested areas and ones who have tested positive asymptomatic. Furthermore, 11 isolation centres have also been made functional in the city, which will be used for patients with mild and moderate symptoms. Cases which are critical and have co-morbid conditions are being treated at 26 'Dedicated Coronavirus Hospitals' (DCH) in the city.

Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM), Uddhav Thackeray, in a recent video, addressed the people and mentioned that the lockdown in the state has been extended until April 30, 2020. Further, the lockdown may extend if people do not follow the norms and rules of social distancing and staying at home. Decisions regarding examinations for colleges and schools will be decided soon and announced in the next few days.

As of now, many areas in Mumbai have been sealed as containment zones with hotspots. Curfew like restrictions have been imposed by the officials to ensure safety, and members are not allowed to leave their homes at any cost. Essentials are being delivered at the doorstep. Mumbai Police along with the government officials are trying their best to curb the spread of coronavirus, and cooperation from the public is expected in this critical scenario.
